In The Name Of The Father
I remember when I first heard about the Guildford Four: Gerry Conlon, Paul Hill, Patrick Armstrong, Carole Richardson who were accused of the Guildford Pub bombing back in 1974 or 1975, around the times of the troubles in Northern Ireland. They were falsely convicted and torchured of the bombings and was sentenced to life in prison.
In 1993, In The Name Of The Father starring Daniel Day Lewis came out in the cinemas. It was about the Guildford Four. My cousins were talking about it, which suppose to be a good movie and wanted to see it.
I cannot accurately describe how affecting this movie was. It was a horrifying story but it was remarkable and incredible in a way that it was so realistic. I thought the acting was fantastic, and the directing was very good as well. Some of the scenes got my attention how sad it was how Northern Ireland was sticking together fighting for their country against Britain.
Great movie I would give it 10 out of 10
